It all started when…

Yayoi was raised near a beautiful small forest in Osaka Japan where people lives are intertwined with the nature around them. As a child she was drawn to the calm and complete feeling she had whenever she spent time observing and appreciating all of the ways that nature expressed freedom and beauty through the animals and elements of the forest.

Her vision is to use her collection to share her inner peace; so each ring, earring, bracelet and necklace are hand crafted and designed to embody shapes, sounds, and imagery that symbolize the allure and harmony of the natural world.

Yayoi decided to follow her dream of creating her own jewelry company. She traveled to New York City to perfect her craft at the New York Fashion Institute on Technology (FIT) and in 2003 Yayoi accomplished her goal and launched Yayoi Forest.

She communicates warmth and delicacy throughout her collection and believes that her jewelry should be worn not only to be admired, but also as a lucky charm.
